With March comes the real catalyst to get things growing! In February we opened the greenhouses and began our early plantings and germination tests. However, it is with March you begin to feel the ergency of the impending season. Soon we’ll be spreading compost & minerals upon the fields and shortly there after preparing our first seed beds for the season, by the end of this month there will already be visual signs of the first harvest of spring. Our CSA application season is also in full swing, early discounts are still available, so please check out our CSA application page when interested. We are also taking applications now for volunteers and apprenticeships for those interested in helping out on the farm. Opportunities are open to all people. College and High School students can use their experiences here with the farm for Community Service Credit Credits.
Though there may be snow out side, with in is a sense that spring is fast approaching and wer’re excited for the new season of growth that is to come!
Excited for the coming season! Will you be selling plants for gardening at home? If so where, when and what? Thanks!!
Sara: Plants will be available starting with the opening of the farm markets the last Saturday in April at Lynch Field Park. 9-12noon thanks!
